Welcome to the Boconnoc Ride
Sunday 18 May 2008
If you would like to ride somewhere new in beautiful surroundings, not normally
open to the public, then the Boconnoc Ride in East Cornwall is just for you
- and non-members are most welcome
- (see Contacts & Entries).
Boconnoc is one of the major endurance rides in the South West calendar.
The charity for this year's donations will be The Cornish Air Ambulance.
Easily accessible by
lorry or trailer A30/A390/B3359, the venue is set in mature parkland
overlooking the imposing Queen Ann house and gardens full of flowering
shrubs and rhododendrons.
This year
everyone will be able to ride beside the lake
in front of Boconnoc House, up across the Deer Park, around 'Paradise'
field and through the lovely mature woodlands. In addition other routes
will include
riding down ancient Cornish lanes, along wide forestry tracks beside the
West Looe River, long grassy bridleways leading up and over Bury Down
with spectacular vistas of Du Maurier country and much more ....
Definitely a ride not
to be missed!
